Presented by: "Just in Time" Parenting Support, an individual support program by Family Moments

Watch the video below to learn how this event will help you enjoy your life and kids without contently fearing the next meltdown*

*There's mention of the free event, bonuses and live elements, but those are over for this year, you can get on the waitlist for next year.

Understanding what’s going on with your kids and staying calm during the meltdowns takes a lot more than "being more consistent", "being more strict" or "naming their emotions" .

(I'm sure you've heard all of them countless of times)

You're getting a lot of things right already.

  • Doing research and getting them support
  • Trying to understand your child
  • Knowing there's more to the situation then what people around you are saying

But it feels like what you're "supposed to do" is not working and often makes things worst.

Maybe right now...

  • You're child is often spiralling out of control for no apparent reason.
  • You're trying hard to stay calm but end up losing it much more often than you want.
  • So of course you know there's something going on with your child but you just don't know what it is.
  • You feel judged, alone and like you're failing in parenting your intense child.
  • You feel overwhelmed and discouraged and are afraid things are just going to get worst.

There has got to be a better way!

You dream of finding a way to understand what’s going on with your kids and stay calm during the meltdowns that's doable with your hectic schedule and will actually work!

Maybe you...

Want to understand what's going on with your child.

Need to know how to help your child calm down.

And of course, you also want to stay as calm as possible.

That's exactly what you'll experience at the

Parenting the Intensity Retreat!

During the Parenting the Intensity Retreat you'll get valuable insight into how to enjoy your life and kids, without constantly fearing the next outburst.

Join us for the Parenting the Intensity Retreat to learn how to understand what’s going on with your kids and stay calm during the meltdowns from supporters of emotionally intense kids and their families.

Meet your host

Hi I'm Anouk,

I'm a mom of 3 (wonderful and) emotionally intense kids, I have a master's in social work and I’ve been supporting parents of kids with all kinds of special needs for more then 16 years (and that's also how long I've been a mom!).

I now support parents of emotionally intense kids for whom nothing in the “general parenting advice” seems to work so they feel confident in trying different things that fit their kids' needs better.

Join me and 25 wonderful speakers in this one-of-a-kind event.

I can't wait to see you there!

What to expect at the
Parenting the Intensity Retreat

Speakers Sessions

Attend 10-25 minutes presentations from our lineup of 25 speakers with trainings on:

  • How you can help your child calm down
  • Why is YOUR child emotionally intense
  • How to stay calm yourself

Including a private podcast version to listen on the go

Private Community

You’ll also have access to my private Facebook community of folks like you who parent emotionally intense kids who are also working on clarifying what’s going on with your kids and staying calm during the meltdowns! This is where you’ll be able to connect with the speakers and other attendees before and during the event!

What makes this event unique?

You don't need people telling you to give more consequences, get at their level or tell them "no" more often.

  • Your kids are not acting that way because they are spoiled brats.
  • Or because you are an horrible parent.
  • They are acting that way because they are struggling! Which makes you, amazing parent, struggle too.

And here, at the Parenting the Intensity Retreat
EVERYONE GETS IT!

Nobody will judge you or give you "parenting advice" you've heard again and again that are just not working!

We know you're kids can be wonderful when they are in the right environment and situation with the right support, so let's find together ways for those perfect moments to happen more often

Help them calm down

As it's often the most pressing questions from parents, we'll start with that.

Day 2:
Why is YOUR child emotionally intense?

It's great to have tools to help them calm down but finding the root cause will make a much bigger impact in the long run, so today we'll be looking into possible cause (or clues) of why your child could be emotionally intense and understand a bit more the reaction in their body.

*Disclaimer: nothing here is intended as diagnostic purpose, the goal is for you to explore the possibilities and if something resonates, to consult a medical or mental health professional*

Goal of the day: They feel bad, they are not bad, let's try to figure out why!

Day 3:
Stay calm yourself

As much as we want to find solution for our kids, the only way to be able to go through life with one (or many) emotionally intense kids is to regulate ourselves first. So today's all about finding ways to do just that! And let's be honest, anything that helps us calm can be apply to our kids too.

There's a few talks about why it's necessary, but practical exercise, so you can sample ways to regulate yourself and find the ones that work for you.

Goal of the day: You need to regulate yourself first, let's find ways that works for YOU and that are sustainable long term!

Last spring you were my lifeline. You understood me, you listened to me, you gave me pointers. I'm so glad I got you during the storm. Thank you by the way, I can't tell you enough.

J. B

Mom of 2 emotionally intense school age kids

Anouk was a very understanding guide during this event. She created a safe space to share our thoughts, feelings and questions.

Her presence was very calming. Everyone was allowed to participate in their own way/pace. No guilt, no pressure. The exact opposite of what a normal parenting day looks like. Thank you for this, Anouk.

Y. N.

Mom of 2 preschoolers

"Anouk is very intuitive and knowledgeable and had great practical tips for me to tackle the challenges I am experiencing with my 2 children.
She had insight which I had not ever even contemplated myself.
Thanks so much Anouk!"
